assures the salvation of all those who acknowledge before God their sin

2 Corinthians 7:10 NKJV ~ For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation,

not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

and their hopelessness in saving themselves,

Romans 5:6 NKJV ~ For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

This is how one's relationship with the Biblical Jesus Christ begins.

Colossians 1:27 NKJV ~ To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory

of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Although that relationship is supernatural ~

in that every true believer in Christ is indwelt by God ~

1 Corinthians 6:19 NKJV ~ Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

the primary way a relationship with Jesus develops is by reading

the revelation of Himself given in His Word.

This is the only way to obtain specific information about Him

that is objective and absolutely true.

In addition, not only is the content of Scripture inspired by the Holy Spirit,

2 Timothy 3:16‐17 NKJV ~ All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

but that same Spirit of Truth is given to believers to understand that content.

John 16:13 NKJV ~ [Jesus said:] "However, when He, the Spirit of truth,

has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority,

but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."
